Sariska National Park is covered with the grasslands, dry deciduous forests and rocky
landscape. Tourists can enjoy camel safaris, shopping, visit
medieval palaces or wildlife park. Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary
is the best place to explore for the wildlife. The Sariska was
declared a sanctuary in 1955 and National Park in 1979.
Leopard, sambhar, chital, nilgai, antelopes, wild boar, rhesus
macaque, langur, hyena and jungle cats are great to watch in Sariska.
Siliserh Lake on the edge of the park has a large number of
crocodiles. |

The Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary also have
ruins of medieval temples of Garh-Rajor centuries ago. Also a 17th
century castle on a hilltop at Kankwari provides a panoramic view of
flying vultures and eagles.
Wildlife in Sariska National Park
The Sariska Tiger Reserve houses a number of
carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger.
The herbivore category in Sariska comprises Nilgai, Sambhar, Chitel,
Chausingha, Langur and Wild Boar. Sariska includes many bird species
like Bush Quail, Tree Pie, Peafowl, Grey Partridge, Crested Serpent
Eagle, Sand Grouse, Golden Backed Wood Pecker, and the Great
Indian Horned Owl.
