Day 2 :
NEW DELHI /
AGRA
After breakfast drive to Agra. Upon arrival check into the luxurious
hotel, which is one of the best boutique hotels in the world? The
hotel has several attractions. The most relevant charm being the
view of Taj Mahal from your bedroom. It is the most beautiful and
uplifting sight. Only 600 meters from the Taj Mahal stands this
luxury resort. You can now appreciate the fabulous Taj Mahal while
enjoying world class luxury. Then we visit the Agra fort – the
great Mughal emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of Agra
Fort in 1565A.D although additions were made till the time of his
grandson Shah Jehan .The forbidding exteriors of this fort hide an
inner paradise like Moti Masjid – a white marble akin to perfect
pearl; Diwan -I-Am, Diwan -I- Khaas and the place where Shah Jehan
died in 1666. Agra is the City of Taj Mahal, perhaps the most
photographed monument in the world. However, there is a degree of
enigma about the Taj. Once you hear about a building so much and
once you see so many pictures of a building, your expectation are
real high; and this is the enigma about the Taj Mahal. The
unparalleled glory and beauty of the building surpasses beyond all
human imaginations.
| At sunset we visit the Taj Mahal to
witness this spectacular monument built for love. Besides
perfect symmetry in every aspect of its construction, the inlay
work of semi precious stones into marble in pietra dura style is
absolutely remarkable. Overnight in the Hotel. |

a city that an emperor forgot. After just fourteen years of life,

The first comprises the royal enclosure of the palace, the harem and
official buildings and the second is the dargah of a saint, with a
mosque and lofty gateways. To wander among the red sandstone
courtyard of Fatehpur Sikri is to travel back in the time when
Mughal emperor rode through the gateway after a triumphant campaign.
It reflects the many faceted character of the man who inspired it.
The ruthless empire builder who enjoyed all the trapping of power
and as liberal enlightened man who took a passionate instant in
every aspect of life , be it religion , literature or the painting
of miniatures . Continue drive to Jaipur stopping at midway to
straighten your legs and use the wash rooms. After reaching Jaipur,
check into the hotel. Relax in the hotel and enjoy various services

After the breakfast we proceed on a tour of this “Lake City “.
Udaipur is a cool oasis in the dry heart of Rajasthan. It is
probably the most romantic city in a state where every city has some
romantic or exotic tale to tell. The huge City Palace towering over
the Lake Pichola is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Though
it is a conglomeration of buildings built by successive rulers, it
manages to retain a surprising uniformity of design and affords very
fine view of the lake and the city from the upper terraces. The
Jagdish temple next to the City Palace enshrines a black stone image
of Lord Vishnu and his vehicle – a mighty bird called garuda – in a
brass image. The temple is a very fine example of Indo-Aryan Art.
|
In the afternoon we walk along the bustling bylines of Udaipur which
have artisans practicing their traditional crafts handed down to
them by their elders. Khari printers do decorative floral patterns
in gold and silver on plain or printed fabric. Along with engraving

Meenakari is a specialty of this region.
